Methodology

3Ducation aims to promote interest in innovation, Science and Math through 3D printing lessons. With our Introduction to 3D Modelling course, we aim to ignite an interest in your mind of children and introduce them the endless capabilities of 3D printing and modelling. Instead of merely teaching them the technical aspects of 3D printing, we employ different methods in our lesson plan to allow them to understand what exactly goes on behind 3D printing and the world around them.

Therefore, we employ a two- pronged approach to our teaching

1. Understanding by design thinking

2. Execution of designing

1. Design Thinking

"Tell me, I'll forget.

Show me, I'll remember.

Involve me, I'll understand."

-Chinese Proverb

Here at 3Ducation, we focus on a Student-Centered Approach to Learning. We present a series of creative and innovative experiments to allow students to fully grasp the concept behind things.  Students are encouraged to be involved in these experiments to facilitate maximum understanding.

"The important thing is not to stop questioning."

-Albert Einstein

Curiosity is always encouraged in the classroom, and our teachers are advocates of inquiry-based learning. Teachers act as facilitators to guide students on the path of hands-on learning and exploration of ideas.

2. Execution

Having learnt the theory behind things and the relevant skill sets needed, students are encouraged to innovate and imagine products at its execution stage. We would like to push the boundaries of their imagination and to inspire creativity – so what would you like to 3D print today?
